GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAMS
A school priority is to ensure that all students reach their potential and develop their talents and so programming for gifted and talented children occurs across the whole school. A strong focus on developing student's individual talents is recognised through a variety of classroom and special programs. Some of these include Maths Talent Quest, Maths Olympiad, Trivia Challenge, Special Interests Groups, Instrumental Program, Student Representative Council, Peer Mediation, The Giggles Musical Talent Group, TVG's Musical Talent Group, SEPEP Sports Program, Peer and Leadership Support Program (PALS), Gateways Gifted and Talented Program, as well as diverse range of leadership and mentor roles being offered to talented and other students throughout the school.

PEER AWARENESS PROGRAMS
The aim of this program is to teach human values, set boundaries for behaviour and create a learning environment whereby full participation of the child is optimised. By participating in this program, children obtain direct knowledge and experience of a series of values, which are fundamental in producing positive relationships and a happy environment for learning. Senior Campus students participate in this program, which involves whole class and co-operative group activities.

BUDDY PROGRAM
To assist in the ease of transition from kindergarten to Prep, Year 6 students are "buddied" up with a kindergarten student when they attend Prep Orientation Day prior to them commencing Preps in the following year. Throughout the year, senior students support and assist the Preps in completing a wide range of activities including creating digital portfolios, undertaking language tasks, software training and drama experiences.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
This program enhances the profile of the senior students in the school by guiding them in public speaking, dealing with conflict, being a role model and assisting other students. They are involved in yard duty, Senior Assemblies, special responsibilities, sports activities and playground management. The school offers leadership positions in School Captain and Vice Captain, House Captains and Vice Captains, Music Captains, Environmental Captains, Visual Arts Captain and Information & Communication Technologies Captains.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL
To support our students in becoming dynamic, independent learners, they are encouraged to take an active role in the decision-making process throughout the school. Elected class representatives from Year 2 - 6, meet with teachers on a regular basis, to discuss current issues and propose actions that can be taken to constantly improve our school and learning environment. The SRC gives students the opportunity to become actively involved and empowered to bring about change and make a difference.
